⚖️ Last week representatives of the EU Delegation to Vietnam joined Oxfam in monitoring visits to two projects in HCMC funded via the EU Justice Initiative Facilitation Fund (EU JIFF).

📢 We first visited the “Let Our Voice Resound” project, implemented by the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED), which provides legal education and support to people with hearing loss. 

💦 The second visit was for a project on “Enhancing the capacity to access environmental justice for vulnerable forest dependent groups in Ho Chi Minh City” implemented by the HCMC University of Economics and Law. The project supports communities in Can Gio , whose livelihoods depend on mangrove forests, providing legal aid and enhancing legal awareness.

🇪🇺🇻🇳 EU JIFF currently rovides funding to 17 individual justice initiatives throughout Vietnam. The initiatives aim to increase access to justice for vulnerable groups, in particular women, children, ethnic minorities and poor people between June 2023 and May 2024.
