Brussels, 11 April 2025 — The Rapid Deployment Capacity Coordination Conference (RDC3) took place from 08 to 09 April 2025 in Brussels, successfully bringing together EU Member States and partner Third States to strengthen coordination and coherence within the EU’s Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP).

On Thursday 23 January 2025, the Deputy Director General and Chief of Staff of the European Union Military Staff, Major General Gabor HORVATH welcomed the Deputy Commander of EUROCORPS , Major General Geoffroy DE LAROUZIERE and his staff to the EUMS for the 7 th EUMS – EUROCORPS Management Level Meeting.

On 29 November 2024, the Director General of the European Union Military Staff (DGEUMS), Lieutenant General Michiel van der Laan welcomed the Director General of the NATO International Military Staff (DGIMS), Lieutenant General Janusz Adamczak and his team to the EEAS Schuman Building for the 22 nd iteration of the bi-annual EUMS-IMS Director General Conference.

Today the EU commenced its second Live Military Exercise (LIVEX). This follows the very first EU LIVEX which took place from the 16 to the 22 October 2023, in Rota, Spain. Not only was LIVEX 23 the EU’s first live exercise, it also marked a significant milestone in the EU’s development of the Rapid Deployment Capacity (EU RDC) and the operationalisation of the Military Planning and Conduct Capability (MPCC) as the preferred Operational Headquarters for the EU RDC from 2025. Now, thirteen months on LIVEX is back but this time we are in Bergen, Germany, from the 26 November to the 10 December 2024.

On 18-19 JUNE, more than 120 military and civil subject matter experts participated in the 21 st Edition of the EUMS Logistics Conference (EULOG24), organized by the EUMS Logistics Directorate. This year’s edition was the first to bring the logistics and the movement communities together, and it was exceptionally co-hosted by the Belgian Presidency 2024/1 – so contributing to its six-month priorities - and by the Dutch Ministry of Defence.

Mogadishu – 11 July 2024. Change at the top of EUTM-SOMALIA The military handover ceremony at the International Campus in Mogadishu took place between Brigadier General Fulvio Poli (outgoing) and Brigadier General Giuseppe Zizzari (incoming) for the command of the European Union Training Mission in Somalia (EUTM-S).

Planning the Future of European Military Readiness: Initial Planning Conference for MILEX 25 - I / RDC LIVEX 25 On the 12 th and 13 th of June 2024, Strasbourg became the focal point for the future of European military readiness.

The 21 st Edition of the annual EU Military Staff Logistic Conference (EULOG24) will be held at the Belgian Royal Military Academy in Brussels on 18-19 June 2024.
