Last month, EU Ambassador to Vietnam Julien Guerrier appeared in a joint video with other Ambassadors and Heads of UN agencies in Vietnam, showing support for the ‘16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence’ campaign. 

In Vietnam, the EU stands firm in its commitment to gender equality, by upholding a zero-tolerance policy toward gender-based violence, recognising it as a grave violation of human rights that undermines our core values. 

In collaboration with the UN, we invest in prevention and protection, which are fundamental pillars in the fight against gender-based violence.

As violence against women and girls is rooted in inequalities, we partner with non-State-actors to tackle gender-biased norms and stereotypes that perpetuate inequality.
