EUDELPNG in collaboration with local partners such as the Climate Change and Development Authority, Port Moresby Nature Park, Loloata Island Resort, EU-STREIT PNG and Tutu Beach Resort organised a series of activities as part of the EU Climate Diplomacy Week from 2nd to 6th October. The activities included a school excursion at POM Nature Park, ocean floor clean-up off Loloata Island, beach clean at Tutu Beach, and a community engagement workshop in Vanimo.

The EU Delegation to PNG together with Loloata Island Resort, as part of the #EUGreenDiplomacyWeek, carried out an ocean floor clean-up today removing marine debris including, plastics, empty bottles, cans and plastics from the ocean floor outside Loloata Island in Central Province.

Inspire, educate and empower the upcoming generation to take action for the environment

On Tuesday 3rd October 2023, the EU Delegation to PNG in collaboration with Climate Change and Development Authority and the Port Moresby Nature Park, organised an information session for students from Taurama Primary School in the National Capital District. The purpose of the session was to educate the students about the significant impact of climate change and emphasise the importance of protecting and preserving the forest and biodiversity. An essential focus was placed on highlighting the significance of renewable energy sources.

On Friday, 6th October, the European Union Delegation to PNG collaborated with the French Embassy in PNG and the Climate Change Development Authority for a joint cleanup effort at Tutu Beach in the National Capital District as part of the #EUGreenDiplomacyWeek.
