Call for Proposals NOW OPEN!

The European Union in Papua New Guinea has launched a Call for Proposals to promote 𝘊𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘤 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘞𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯’𝘴 𝘗𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 & 𝘋𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯-𝘔𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. This initiative builds on the European Union’s ongoing commitment to strengthen democracy and uphold human rights in PNG. The European Union in Papua New Guinea is now inviting eligible organisations to submit proposals, for more information see the eligibility in the Guidelines.

Two key opportunities:

Lot 1 – Support to civil society in Papua New Guinea: strengthening civic participation for effective public information disclosure, timely access to reliable information and promotion of meaningful opportunities for public contribution to decision making processes, including through enhanced public debates on budgets and social accountability mechanisms. Budget max. EUR 661 333 (Approximately PGK3.3 million).

Lot 2 – Promoting and protecting human rights and democracy in Papua New Guinea: strengthening women’s political and decision-making participation before and after the 2027 elections, including at national and sub national level in different spheres. Budget max. EUR 720 000 (Approximately PGK 3.6 million).
