EVSDA 2025 – ‘ARCHITECTURE’ SHORTLIST – CASHEW GARDEN HOUSE (G+ ARCHITECTS)
*
Located in a tranquil village at the edge of the forest in Nam Cát Tiên National Park, the “Nhà Vườn Điều” (Cashew Garden House) project was developed on a 1000 m² plot already home to 26 mature cashew trees. From the start, the architects and owner were aligned on a clear vision: the building must preserve the existing trees, avoiding any damage to their roots or forms. The house was envisioned as a secondary retreat, a haven from the noise of urban life, while also supporting a short-term homestay model that embraces nature and prioritizes minimal material comforts—a lifestyle the owner values deeply.
Cashew Garden House stands as a testament to a co-creative design philosophy we strive for, where architecture integrates rather than imposes, honoring the natural and human context.
