The SG.STRAT Directorate at the European External Action Service is in charge of strategic communications and foresight and as such is responsible for the design and implementation of a wide range of information, communication and outreach activities. This includes public and cultural diplomacy activities and implies working closely with the Spokesperson’s service of the European Commission and the High Representative’s Communication Advisors, the EU Delegations and Missions and Operations around the world.  The different divisions within SG.STRAT Directorate manage the EEAS’ digital communications, implement communication campaigns, organise events and conferences, coordinate regional campaigns together with the EU Delegations and lead outreach and engagement activities with key stakeholders all over the world.

SG.STRAT is seeking for one Communication Consultants (senior) to

• develop a coherent, multi-channel and overarching communication strategy, working closely with SG.STRAT Divisions and consulting with EU Delegations, the Spokesperson Service, and Commission stakeholders to identify creative tools and innovative actions to engage with citizens and key stakeholders around EU values, policies and priorities.
• draft the Terms of Reference for a procurement to support EEAS’ communication efforts.
