Sustainability of the Project |
Sustainability is built into the action’s core principles. The highly participatory approach of the capacity building programme is meant to boost ownership of the action and its outputs and outcomes. OPDs will drive their own development and will be responsible for utilising the programme in the way that best fits with their needs as identified through the self-audits, creation of individualised action plans and self-monitoring of progress made. The cascade learning model, whereby OPDs representatives attending trainings are expected to cascade the content within their organisation, will also ensure that learning is embedded in the operational structures of the organisation. The action will also put emphasis on the peer-to-peer support to create networks of mutual support within the disability sector in the Philippines as an accepted way of working which will benefit all actors involved and can be sustained after completion of the action. Moreover, through ensuring the buy-in of OPDs’ CEOs and senior management teams towards the envisaged outputs and outcomes, the change of mindset aimed by the action will be embedded at organisational level which will represent the most powerful way of ensuring institutional sustainability. |
Target SDGs |
The project directly targets SDG 17; SDGs 5 and 10 are cross-cutting to the action; at impact level, the project will also contribute to SDGs 4, 8 and 11. |
