The Delegation in UAE is one of the over 140 Delegations of the European Union worldwide. 

The European Union is the UAE’s first investment partner and second largest global trading partner. Our mutual investments amount to 328 billion Euros.

The UAE is a major diplomatic hub and the European Union Delegation works in close coordination with the 26 out of 27 European Union Member States who have a diplomatic presence in UAE: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden. 

• Under the European External Action Service (EEAS), the EU Delegation to the UAE represents the European Union as a whole and speaks on behalf of its member states in areas including foreign policy and trade;
• Implements the European Union’s Common Foreign and Security Policy while fostering economic cooperation and advancing mutual interests;
• Fosters Team Europe collaboration in support of the UAE, alongside the European Union Member States’ Embassies in the UAE;
• Deepens dialogue between the European Union and the UAE in areas of common interest, including regional security, economic diversification, trade and investments, climate, energy, AI, foreign aid, research and innovation, judicial cooperation, education and culture;
• Promotes the values and policies of the European Union and inform the UAE about the policies and programmes of the EU, as well as its institutions, in an open and equal partnership with the Government and people of the UAE.
