On July 27, the European Delegation announced the award of the project on "Sustainable development in rural areas of Uzbekistan".

The total amount is EUR 9,328,532,00 over a period of 36 months.  

The implementing Consortium, led by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, is composed of the following partners:

• France: Agence pour le développement de la coopération internationale dans les domaines de l'agriculture, de l'alimentation et des espaces ruraux (ADECIA)  
• Italy: Associazione Italiana Allevatori (AIA)
• Bulgaria: Center for Entrepreneurship and Executive Development (CEED)

The main purpose of this Action is to transfer EU know-how and technologies in the agri-food value-chains in partnership with local authorities and economic players for further developing socio-economic potentials in rural areas of Uzbekistan.
