Somalia has come a long way. The people of Somalia have struggled hard and made great sacrifices to breakout of the cycle of violence and instability. We are proud to say that the relationship between the European Union and Somalia has helped to lay the foundations for this progress. We have stood by the Somali people for the last twenty years and we commit to standing with the people for the future. The European Union will continue to support the building of inclusive, effective and efficient institutions which will provide services to the Somali people.
