Ms. Androulla Kaminara, C4 Director, DG ECHO arrived in Nepal on 13 Jan to observe the projects being  run here by the European Commission's Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection Office (ECHO). ECHO has been working in Nepal for many years, funding over €72.2 million of humanitarian operations since 2001.  Ms Kaminara visited the ECHO funded UNDP DRR project in Sindhupalchowk district on 14 January along with EU Ambassador to Nepal, H.E. Veronica Cody and interacted with the earthquake affected communities in Indrawati Rural Municipality. The project has been focusing on building back better for the most vulnerable communities severely affected by the 2015 earthquake.
