4th European Union - Republic of Korea Cyber Dialogue held in Seoul

On 30 January, the fourth European Union - Republic of Korea Cyber Dialogue took place in Seoul. Topics discussed included respective cyber policies and international cyberspace issues, such as applicability of international law, norms of responsible State behaviour, and confidence building measures.

Both delegations shared their views on recent developments and identified potential areas for strengthening cooperation on cyber issues.

The Cyber Dialogue between the EU and the Republic of Korea was initiated at the EU-Republic of Korea Summit in November 2013, and takes place alternatively in Brussels and Seoul.

The delegation of the Republic of Korea, hosting the Dialogue, was led by H.E. Duk-ho Moon, Ambassador for International Security Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Pawel Herczynski, Director for Security Policy at the European External Action Service led the EU delegation, which also included observers from EU Member States.
