How can refugees’ basic needs be secured? In this video, Euronews' Aid Zone programme goes to the country with the highest number of refugees in the world, Turkey, to see how the EU and the UN World Food Programme work together to ensure refugees' basic food needs. As part of the e-food card programme run by the World Food Programme in collaboration with the Turkish Red Crescent, each refugee family receives a card, which works like a debit card and is automatically uploaded twice a month. The system is used in 11 camps by over 156 000 people.
