EU Ambassador Axelle Nicaise presented her credentials to the President of Mongolia

On 8 November, the Head of the EU Delegation to Mongolia, Ambassador Ms Axelle Nicaise, presented her credentials to the President of Mongolia H.E. Mr Khurelsukh Ukhnaa. 

The President acknowledged the EU as a valued partner and 3rd neighbour for Mongolia. He thanked for the continued support since the country’s transition to democracy and market economy, and expressed the willingness to expand bilateral relations and cooperation in the green development, environmental protection, mitigating impacts of climate change, digital transformation and connectivity.  

The President also thanked the EU and its member states for funding the COVAX Facility that significantly helps third countries to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic with a minimum loss.  

Ambassador Ms Axelle Nicaise expressed readiness to continue supporting Mongolia’s efforts in diversifying its economy, mitigating the impacts of climate change and working closely on sustainable green development as well as supporting Mongolia’s democracy and rule of law.
