On Wednesday October 15, 2025 Guyana's President Dr Irfaan Ali accepted the Letters of Credence from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the European Union, Luca Pierantoni.

The EU-LAC Supercomputing Network connects Europe with Latin America to boost research, innovation, and technology partnerships. By sharing powerful computing resources, the network enables scientists to develop solutions to global challenges such as climate change, public health or clean energy.

Two years after its launch, the EU-LAC Digital Alliance comes together in Guatemala to take stock of the progress made. They have a message for their leaders who will gather in the CELAC-EU Summit next November: EU & LAC are moving together to pole position in the Digital race.
