Travel & Study
Travel & Study
Travelling in Europe has become easier thanks to the European Union. Within the Schengen area, it is possible to cross the borders of most Member States without being subject to any checks, make transactions with the same currency (the Euro) in several countries, have a driving licence and insurance policy that is valid in many States or use roaming services on your mobile at no additional cost. As for studying, the Member States offer high-level learning opportunities in all sectors.
Visas
Entry into the European area requires a visa
Foreigners travelling to Europe need a visa. The EU Delegation does not replace the Member States and does not issue visas. Consular tasks are the responsibility of the diplomatic offices of the Member States.

Study
Erasmus, flagship programme
Erasmus + is the European Union's programme for education, training, youth and sport. Between 2014 and 2020, it provided opportunities for four million people to study, train and gain life experience abroad.
Erasmus + replaces a number of older programmes, including an international exchange programme called Erasmus Mundus.
You can visit the Resources section of the Erasmus + web portal for tools and key documents for applicants.
