This week, EUTM Mozambique, Forças Armadas de Defesa de Moçambique (FADM) and UNICEF visited FLPM Primary School in Maputo and engaged with hundreds of children, to celebrate the Red Hand Day  and to explain them what this day is all about.

The activities included painting hands, writing messages to protect children and interact with each other. Also, a lecture was provided regarding the key themes:

• Recruitment or use of children as soldiers;

• Sexual violence against children;

• Abduction of children;

• Killing and maiming of children;• Attacks on schools and hospitals;

• Denial of humanitarian access for children.

EUTM Mozambique had the joy of contributing to the youth and is thankful for the wonderful day.
