Our Voice Our Future - What do we want to achieve?
Engaging with Youth is a top priority for Strategic Communication and the EU as a whole. It is now crucial to build a community of young allies to communicate shared principles and interests. Our community builders and content creators come from all over the world, both within and outside the EU, and are aged between 15 and 35. They are actively involved in advocating for Human Rights, security, peacebuilding, global diplomacy, and climate actions. These individuals serve as multipliers on social media and within their respective communities. If you are interested in joining this network, please send us a message at OURVOICES@eeas.europa.eu, explaining how you fit the profile described above.
In 2022, during the European Year of Youth, the EEAS launched the global social media campaign #OurVoiceOurFuture with young activists from all continents. The campaign aimed to raise awareness among young people about the meaning and value of multilateralism and amplify the voices of young opinion leaders. By the end of 2022, the campaign achieved a reach of 57.6 million people. In 2023, the campaign focused on the protection of Human Rights. In 2024, the campaign primarily focused on the Summit of the Future.
The "#OurVoiceOurFuture" campaign was initially launched as a social media initiative by the EEAS, with the assistance of EU Delegations and young influencers from various regions worldwide. The network is open and structured as a community of young allies, which can be activated across different events and policies, including the annual Youth Policy Dialogue with the HR/VP.
