Military planning and operations in urban terrain among the most demanded training modules by Ukraine.
On the one hand, MDMP training modules is about tactic level planning -small units, up to brigade level- with a train the trainers program. During three weeks it is focused on mission analysis, enemy evaluation, means optimization and operations conduct capabilities.
On the other hand, the Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT) training modules have been active for four weeks trying to increase Ukrainian army members´ urban combat capabilities. It contents goes from advancing procedures to small teams’ coordination. It also contains room clearing procedures and close-quarters combat.
In addition, explosives management, Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) and marksmanship training have also been included. Moreover, La Legión has integrate the use of drones during formation activities. This allows to respond to Ukrainian requests in order get a more realistic instruction, similar to the current conflict traits.
Lieutenant Colonel Carnerero, Chief of La Legión instructors, stated:
“Ukrainian´s real combat experience had contributed to enhance the instruction thanks to exchange of knowledge and procedures”
During the first trimester of 2026 other training modules have been executed in Spain, such as the 14th Vector Geo Data -focus on geospatial analysis- and 12th air defence HAWK module -operators system formation-. The fact that some modules have been carried out many times shows, not only the ongoing commitment of Spain and the European Union to the strengthening of Ukrainian Armed Forces, but also the faith that Ukraine puts in the EU.

All the training mentioned is managed through the Toledo Training Coordination Centre (TTCC) Headquarters based in Burgos, part of EUMAM UA, whose operational chain coordinates not only the various training modules from their planning to their execution, but also its activities with different international structures
