Media advisory: HR/VP Kallas travels to Norway

High Representative/Vice-President (HR/VP), Kaja Kallas, will be in Norway, on 2 and 3 February.

On Monday, 2 February, HR/VP Kallas meets Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre in Olso, followed by a joint exit doorstep. The HR/VP and the Prime Minister will then attend the Oslo Security Conference 2026 for a joint panel discussion. Both doorstep and panel are on EBS. Later on Monday, the HR/VP will hold bilateral meetings with the Minister of Defence of Norway, Tore O. Sandvik and meet members of the Standing Committee of Foreign Affairs and Defence of the Norwegian Parliament.

On Tuesday, 3 February, the HR/VP will visit a Guard Coast vessel in Tromso together with Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide. The HR/VP will also give a speech at the Arctic Frontiers Conference 2026 and take part in a press point following her panel alongside the Foreign Minister. Both the speech and the press conference will be on EBS. The HRVP will also meet the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greenland, Vivian Motzfeldt and join the Arctic Mayors Forum.
