Lebanon: Statement by the Spokesperson on Israeli strikes on UNIFIL

The European Union condemns the Israeli attack that targeted again a UNIFIL detachment on 26 October 2025. This is the latest in a series of similar incidents in recent weeks.

The EU recalls that the safety and security of UN personnel and premises must be ensured in accordance with international law and UN Security Council Resolution 1701. 

The EU reiterates that all parties must fully respect the ceasefire of 26 November 2024, and calls on Israel to withdraw from the entire Lebanese territory.
