Multiple missiles struck Erbil in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq in the early hours of Sunday. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has claimed responsibility.  

The EU strongly condemns these attacks. There is no justification for such an act of violence against the territory of a sovereign country.  

The EU expresses its solidarity with the Iraqi people, the Iraqi Government and the Kurdistan Regional Government, and will continue to support Iraq’s sovereignty and stability.
