Federica Mogherini announces senior appointments in the EEAS

Federica Mogherini, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission, announced senior appointments in the European External Action Service (EEAS):

Pawel HERCZYNSKI as Managing Director for Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) and Crisis Response, in the follow up to the recent internal reorganisation of the CSDP and Crisis Response services. He was Director of Security Policy in the EEAS and previously Political and Security Committee (PSC) Ambassador in the Permanent Representation of Poland to the EU.

Stefano TOMAT as Director for Integrated Approach for Security and Peace. He was previously the Head of the PRISM (Prevention of Conflict, Rule of Law/Security Sector Reform, Integrated Approach, Stabilisation and Mediation) Division in the EEAS.

José MORGADO as Director for INTCEN (EU Intelligence and Situation Centre). He was previously the Director General of the Strategic Defence Intelligence Service of Portugal.

Oliver RENTSCHLER as Director for Interinstitutional Relations, Policy Coordination and Public Diplomacy. He is currently Deputy Head of Cabinet of Federica Mogherini.

Cristian TUDOR as Head of Delegation to Kuwait. He is currently Ambassador of Romania to the State of Qatar.

Diego RUIZ ALONSO as Head of Delegation to Turkmenistan. He is currently serving as Head of the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) Department at the Spanish Embassy in Moscow.
