The EU strongly condemns the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) launch using ballistic military technology that occurred on 27 May. This launch constituted a clear and flagrant violation of relevant UN Security Council Resolutions.

The DPRK’s disregard for its international obligations continues to threaten regional and international peace and security.

The EU calls on the DPRK to cease all actions that raise tensions and instead take up offers of dialogue by the main parties.
