Cyber: EU and India hold 8th Cyber Dialogue in New Delhi
On 20 March, the European Union and India held the eight Cyber Dialogue in New Delhi.
During the dialogue, the EU and India exchanged on the cyber threat landscape and provided updates on the recent developments in cybersecurity policy and legislation. They also addressed supply chain security, product cybersecurity and emerging technologies.
The dialogue also provided an opportunity to explore the respective frameworks for responding to cyber threats and enhancing accountability in cyberspace.
Additionally, the EU and India discussed cyber capacity-building and cooperation in multilateral fora, particularly within the UN Open-Ended Working Group on Information and Communication Technology (OEWG).
On the EU side, the dialogue was co-chaired by Maciej Stadejek, Director for Security and Defence Policy at the EEAS, and Christiane Kirketerp de Viron, Acting Director for Digital Society, Trust and Cybersecurity at the European Commission. On the Indian side, the dialogue was chaired by Amit Shukla, Joint Secretary, Cyber Diplomacy Division, at the Ministry of External Affairs.
The next EU-India cyber dialogue will be hosted by the EU.
