The Doha Agreement for peace in Chad signed today is an important step for the transition. The European Union congratulates all signatories and commends the State of Qatar for its continued support to the process. The European Union encourages all the political-military groups that have not yet adhered to the agreement to do so. This would allow the launch of a truly inclusive national dialogue, which should start without further delay. 

The European Union remains committed to supporting a transition that can ensure a rapid return to constitutional order and meet the many aspirations of the Chadian people. It is also ready to contribute to the implementation of the agreement with its partners.
