Her Excellency Lucie Berger, Ambassador of the European Union to the UAE, hosted a special Suhoor for media representatives at her residence, in the spirit of Ramadan. The gathering brought together key members of the UAE and international media for an evening of open discussions, fostering stronger connections between the EU and the UAE media community.

Ambassador Berger spoke about the deepening EU-UAE partnership, highlighting cooperation across trade, technology, sustainability, and humanitarian efforts. She underscored the vital role both regions play in supporting those in need, including in Gaza and Ukraine. 

Acknowledging the EU’s complexity, Ambassador Berger also stressed the importance of raising media’s awareness of the EU’s priorities, unique decision-making processes and growing bilateral cooperation in the UAE.

Journalists had the opportunity to engage in an open exchange, gaining insights into EU policies and its role on the global stage. The Suhoor reinforced the importance of media engagement in strengthening mutual understanding and shaping a positive future for both regions.
