Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye Takes a New Step in the Fight Against Disinformation: “Ambassadors of Truth” Premieres on CNN Türk

Hosted by Prof. Dr. Nezih Orhon, faculty member of Anadolu University’s Faculty of Communication Sciences, the programme will explore methods of combating disinformation from various perspectives throughout 10 episodes. “Ambassadors of Truth” will evaluate the issue of disinformation—one of the most critical challenges of our time—within a comprehensive framework, featuring contributions from experts in academia, media, and fact-checking.

The programme will seek answers to fundamental questions such as what disinformation is, how it spreads during times of crisis, and how individuals and society can become more resilient to such content. Furthermore, current topics such as protecting children from disinformation, key points for parents and caregivers to consider, the impact of AI-generated content, health-related misinformation, foreign information manipulation, and the importance of verification mechanisms in newsrooms will be discussed with expert guests.

Aiming to raise social awareness, “Ambassadors of Truth” will not only focus on defining the problem and its impacts but will also provide a practical roadmap for viewers to navigate the digital media environment more consciously through its “Steps to Truth” segments.
