The 15th European Union Human Rights Short Film Competition is about to begin!

Organised for the 15th time, the European Union Human Rights Short Film Competition invites short film enthusiasts to take action once again.
The competition, which receives hundreds of applications from all over Türkiye every year, is bringing powerful, creative and inspiring stories about human rights to the screens this year.
Organised by the Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye, the competition aims to raise awareness about fundamental rights and freedoms, encourage social dialogue through cinema, and celebrate the transformative power of art.
The competition is open to storytellers of all ages. We accept short films shot in the genres of documentary, fiction or animation, with all techniques and completed within the last year.
Amateur or professional, dare to apply your talent on the topical issues of human rights through the universal language of cinema.
In addition to the three main awards on the theme of Human Rights, special awards will recognise productions focusing on the themes of Gender Equality and Climate Crisis.
Last application date: November 1, 2025, 18:00.
The award-winning films will meet the audience as part of the 15th European Union Human Rights Film Days to be held in December.
