EU supports climate-related regulations of CBSL

The European Union has formed another partnership with the International Finance Corporation and the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) to support the bank’s climate-related regulations and to improve SME financing in Sri Lanka.

The IFC will advise and assist the CBSL in updating its Sustainable Finance Roadmap and Green Taxonomy as well as its enforcement to better serve SMEs. This support is funded from the European Union’s regional program known as ‘Accelerating Climate Smart and Inclusive Infrastructure in South Asia (ACSIIS)’. While we are striving to continue rolling out the EU’s #GlobalGateway’s strategy, we are confident that this collaboration will mark a significant step forward in empowering SMEs in Sri Lanka.
