THE DELEGATION OF THE EUROPEAN UNION TO MONTENEGRO VISITIS THE MUNICIPALITY OF ULCINJ

 

The Ambassador of the European Union to Montenegro, Oana Cristina Popa, visited the Municipality of Ulcinj. She was welcomed by the President of the Municipality of Ulcinj, Genci Nimanbegu, along with his associates.

President Nimanbegu acquainted the Ambassador with his new role as President, the current situation, and the challenges faced by the Municipality of Ulcinj. He placed particular emphasis on the centralisation of authority by the central government, the lack of capital investments from the state capital budget, and various issues related to the territory of the Maritime Domain.

Ambassador Popa thanked President Nimanbegu and congratulated him on his new role. She also highlighted the significance of Montenegro’s current European integration process, which should be utilised in the best possible way.
