Europe Day football tournament kicks off

The Europe Day football tournament officially kicked off with the preliminaries and semi-finals in Marsabit County on Saturday, March 23rd, and Sunday, March 24th, at the Moi Girls School.

EU Deputy Ambassador Ondrej Simek was in the county for the preliminaries. Speaking on the football tournament in Marsabit, he mentioned the importance of empowering young people and creating better opportunities for their future. The tournament is also an opportunity to showcase and connect different talents from across the counties in view of celebrating Europe Day.

Girls match

Continuing the fervour, Homa Bay County will host the next leg on Saturday, April 6th, and Sunday, April 7th, at the iconic Raila Odinga Stadium. Kilifi County follows suit on Saturday, May 4th, and Sunday, May 5th, at the Malindi Secondary School. Nairobi County concludes the preliminaries on Saturday, May 11th, and Sunday, May 12th, at the Kenya School of TVET. The pinnacle of the tournament, the Finals, will take place on Friday, May 17th, at the esteemed Ulinzi Sports Complex in Langata, Nairobi.
