KLM Royal Dutch Airlines made its inaugural landing in Guyana on June 4, 2025, afternoon, paving the way for seamless business and tourism opportunities. The airline is now offering non-stop flights between Guyana and the Netherlands twice weekly, significantly reducing travel time from 54 hours to just 9 hours. Through this new route, passengers will have access to 21 destinations in the United Kingdom and over 140 other destinations beyond Amsterdam. The flight made its inaugural landing at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri.
