Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy and China’s NCSC host "Deepening Climate Resilient Cities" Workshop in Beijing

Cities are at the forefront of tackling climate change. On 18 June, the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy (GCoM) Asia Project, together with the National Centre for Climate Change Strategy and International Cooperation (NCSC), held the "Deepening Climate Resilient Cities" Workshop in Beijing. More than 60 representatives from the EU and 39 Chinese pilot cities in the field of climate resilience and adaptation met to discuss natural solutions for building climate resilient and adaptive cities. A Comparative Study Report on Climate Change Adaptation in Chinese and European Cities was released at the meeting. The report analyses the theoretical support and practical cases of climate change adaptation in Chinese and European cities and provides valuable experience and inspiration for upgrading climate resilience of cities.
