The European Union and the African Union have jointly launched MAISHA DANCE 🚀

Two Calls4Participants are online to attract four dancers from Africa, four dancers from Europe, one lead choreographer, one assistant choreographer and one artistic director.

A new website has been created for this purpose and to centralize the past, present & future MAISHA activities and audiovisual material: www.maishaculture.com

When selected, the 11 elements will participate in a 3-week residency in Addis Ababa, followed by a public free-of-charge performance on Saturday, 25 May (Africa Day).

Other performances will happen in Brussels and in other European & African cities. The group will be available for bookings as of June.

What is MAISHA?

An Afro-European cultural and art experiment created by the European Union Delegation to the African Union. It is a testimony to collaboration & co-creation, the power of art to unite and a successful example of Africa-Europe cross-border cooperation and intercultural dialogue & solidarity.
