Our Delegation

The European Delegation to Syria is part of a network of over 140 European Union (EU) delegations worldwide. The delegations are normal diplomatic missions complementary to EU Member States’ embassies and reflect the distribution of competences and functions between the EU Member States and the European Union.

Since December 2012, the Delegation to Syria is headed by a Chargé d’Affaires a.i. in the absence of an accredited Head of Mission and is operating from Beirut, Amman, and Brussels with regular field visits to Syria.
