The WATHBA project – Scaling Up Entrepreneurial Ecosystems in Yemen (EU contribution: 4,6 M EUR) is EU’s first joint partnership with the Yemeni private sector (HSA Group and other private investments). The project started in August 2024 for a duration of five years, and is implemented by DeepRoot Consulting and ROWAD Foundation.
The EU Delegation to Yemen and Goethe Institute in Jordan inaugurated on 11 May in Amman "A Closer Look at Yemen" photo exhibition, showcasing the works by Yemeni photographers Maeen al-Eryani, Mysaa Balfaqih, Nashwan Sadiq and Khaled al-Qadhi.
The EU Delegation to Yemen organised a reception on Monday, 12 May, in Amman to celebrate Europe Day, which was attended by Yemen's Ambassador to Jordan Jalal Faqirah, EU ambassadors accredited to Yemen, and representatives of Yemen's civil society.
