Online discussion: "Family in crisis. How does society and the state help families in a difficult economic situation during pandemic?"

We continue a series of online meetings where, together with specialists from various public organizations and government agencies, we discuss important and not always obvious problems in the framework of the project “Different Children - Equal Rights!”.

This project is co-financed by the European Union and implemented by the human rights organization “Man and the Law”, a non-profit organization Pro NGO! e.V. (Germany), as well as NGO experts from various regions of Russia.

Online meeting will take place on July 7, 2020 at 11:00 (Moscow time) on Zoom platform.

Following issues will be discussed:

- How do public and state organizations adapt to new challenges? What forms of family support have been developed? Are all of them effective?

- The family is in crisis and cannot support a child. So the child - right to the shelter?

- What criteria should a crisis family fall into to get support from the state? Does help always reach those who really need it? Situation in the regions will be discussed.

-What measures to support families in crisis have been developed in other countries? Consider the example of Germany.

  • Alexander Gezalov - Head of the mentoring center, member of the Council of the Ministry of Education of the RF on orphaned children & children left without parental care
  • Alexandra Gurinova - Head of the International Department of German AIDS Aid Deutche Aidshilfe e.V. (Berlin).
