Supporting Ghana’s Socio-Economic Transformation Drive; REACH Hands Over Equipment to Partners.

The Resilience Against Climate Change (REACH) Project held a brief ceremony to hand over Agriculture and Information Technology equipment worth over GHS 3 million to its partners in Ghana’s Upper West Regional capital, Wa on 16 November 2021.

 

Harnessing synergies between development cooperation, partnerships and enhancing public sector management and service delivery is key in creating opportunities for all. One such way to ensure quality service delivery in the provision of requisite infrastructure to enhance planning processes of the local government structures.

In order to achieve this, 591 Information Technology Equipment have been procured for 14 District Planning Coordinating Units (DPCUs) in North-West Ghana and partners at the national level. The equipment includes 56 Laptops, 112 Personal Computers, 84 Mobile Tablets and 70 Printers.

The rest are 112 Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, 14 Cameras, 70 Projectors, 70 Global Positioning Systems (GPS) devices and 3 video conferencing devices. Provision of these equipment will aid in effective planning and strengthening of linkages between the District Assemblies.
