FUTURE SQUADRON COMMANDERS READY FOR THE FIELD

Chaired by Colonel Modibo Koné, Minister of Internal Security and Civil Protection, the ceremony marking the end of the training of the 20 future squadron commanders of the National Guard took place on February 19, 2021.

This is indeed the 4th edition of this training initiated by EUCAP Sahel Mali since 2017. A diploma course that allows to apply for the staff diploma training.

Lasting 17 weeks, the training aimed to strengthen and improve the capacities of these officers now ready to hold the command of infantry company and squadron commander in urban and rural areas.

The training was jointly delivered by the European missions EUCAP Sahel Mali and EUTM in collaboration with the Staff of the National Guard of Mali.

For ten weeks, the EUCAP trainers worked with the trainees on ethics, human rights, crisis management, law enforcement and professional intervention.

The Chief of Staff did thank all his partners and congratulated and urged the 20 officers to be the more rigorous and dedicated in the exercise of their new function.
