The High Representative Federica Mogherini and the 28 Ministers of Foreign Affairs had an informal breakfast with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu today in which they reiterated that the only realistic solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is based on two states, with Jerusalem as the capital of both the state of Israel and the state of Palestine. Mogherini also announced a visit to Lebanon next week to show EU's support to Prime Minister Hariri, the government and institutions of the country.
Any action that would undermine efforts towards a two-State solution in the Middle East must be avoided, EU High Representative Federica Mogherini said after meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson in Brussels on 5 December. The crisis in Syria and the Iran nuclear deal were also on the agenda of the bilateral meeting.
