Tasmanian wine producer Monique Lubiana crafts high-quality wines on the banks of the River Derwent. She uses geographical indications to protect her brand.

The EU is negotiating for strong geographical indications (GIs) to be included in the Free Trade Agreement with Australia. Why? Because GIs provide better prices for quality Australian goods, more jobs in regional areas and new export opportunities for consumers wanting high-quality products.
