The EU-funded Twinning project “Approximation of national legislation of Ukraine in the fields of state supervision (control) of GMOs in open systems, protection of plant variety rights, and seed and seedling production in line with EU norms and standards” is being currently prepared, to be implemented by a consortium made of the State Plant Protection Service of the Republic of Latvia, the Polish State Plant Health and Seed Inspection Service, the Polish Research Centre for Cultivar Testing and Naktuinbouw-Netherlands for the benefit of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection. The Latvian State Plant Protection Service is looking for two assistants to support activities of a Resident Twinning Adviser, who will be placed at the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection for the duration of the project. Please note that the actual availability and timings of these posts will depend on the signature of contract between the European Union and the consortium.
