The Eastern Partnership (EaP) is a joint initiative involving the EU, its member states and 6 eastern European partners: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
The EU works to promote independent media as a pillar of democratic societies around the world, and especially in our neighbourhood.
Increasing exchanges and enhancing mutual understanding – especially with youth – is a key priority of the EU's Eastern Partnership programme.
On 7th July 2017, the 4th Eastern Partnership Justice and Home Affairs Ministerial meeting took place in Tallinn under the Estonian Presidency of the EU.
300 young leaders, youth workers and youth policy makers from the EU member states and Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine worked together over two days at the Eastern Partnership Youth Forum in Warsaw from 22-23 June 2017.
Ministers reaffirmed their commitment to the Eastern Partnership, in view of the 24 November Summit in Brussels.
