EU Ambassador to South Sudan Christian Bader meeting Vice-President Taban Deng Gai on Thursday.
European Union Ambassador to South Sudan Christian Bader today met with the Vice-President for Infrastructure Cluster Gen. Taban Deng Gai. Their exchanges mainly focused on the necessary and long awaited improvement of the network of roads in South Sudan.
VP Taban mentioned several ongoing projects due to be implemented after the end of the rainy season, with the aim of connecting Juba to the main cities of the country and to connect land-locked South Sudan with neighbouring countries and also Djibouti.
Amb. Bader reiterated the importance of a sustainable network of all-weather roads for the development of South Sudan through increased trade, better availability of services, including the much-needed security.
He also underlined the need for South Sudan to identify reliable partners and to open the country to European investors.
