“Strengthening the Capacity of the Palestinian Authority to Improve Customs Revenue Collection and Borders Crossings Control”
will be seeking to recruit Resident Twinning Advisor (RTA) Assistant
Duration of the Project implementation: 19 May 2019 to 1 February 2022
Work place: is based in Jericho, General Administration of Borders and Crossings (GABC).
During the project implementation, some meetings and works can be held in Ramallah, Ministry of Finance and Planning (MoFP), General Directorate of Customs, Excises and Value Added Tax (Customs Department).
Maximum monthly payment: 1.300 EUR
Contract type: fixed term service contract
Duration of the contract: during project implementation period from first working day in December 2020 to 1 February 2022
The RTA Assistant will report directly and will be supervised by the RTA.

The above-mentioned Twinning project is an EU funded joint project between Lithuania, represented by the Customs Department under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania, State Border Guard Service under the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania, Central Project Management Agency and Palestinian Authority, represented by Ministry of Finance and Planning (MoFP), General Directorate of Customs, Excises and Value Added Tax (Customs Department), General Administration of Borders and Crossings (GABC).
The overall objective of the project is to improve the Palestinian Authority fiscal position through improving collection of customs revenues and strengthening borders control in order to reduce evasion of customs duties.
The selected person will be a self-employed independent consultant under a Service Contract and will undertake full responsibility for the payment of all taxes and obligations deriving from the legislation in force in the Palestinian Authority, including for those related to medical and social insurance. The RTA Assistant will carry his/her duties and tasks on the base of contract concluded with the Contracting Authority.
