Bridging the Gap between Accountability Efforts and the needs of survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in Syria

Sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) has been a devastating feature of the Syrian conflict. This event will bring together prominent speakers leading on Syrian efforts to provide and coordinate protection services for Syrian SGBV survivors, encourage gender sensitive approaches to international justice, and raise awareness of SGBV issues. It will discuss the challenges and needs of SGBV survivors and explore the relationship between the on-the-ground reality of Syrian survivors of conflict-related SGBV and international accountability and response processes.
