As a part of Climate Diplomacy Week 2020, the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Indonesia is organising a reusable bag design contest for youth in Indonesia.

 

Climate change is one of the most critical global challenges facing our world today. Climate change concerns all of us, and everyone can take actions for the climate. Do you think the world could be better?

As a part of Climate Diplomacy Week 2020, the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Indonesia is organising a reusable bag design contest for youth in Indonesia.

Create an artwork with a catchy slogan to inspire others to take part in climate action. The 10 winning designs will be featured on our reusable bags that will be given out to the public.

ELIGIBILITY OF CONTESTANTS

  • This contest is open to Indonesian citizens domiciled in Indonesia and who as of the deadline of the contest are 18-25 years of age.
  • A contestant is allowed to submit a maximum of 3 (three) designs/ artworks.
  • Only individual entry is accepted. Collaboration or group art is not eligible.

 

ELIGIBLE DESIGN/ ARTWORK

  • The design/ artwork must reflect one of the themes of the contest “Our Forest” or “Our Ocean” with a catchy slogan that will inspire others to take part in climate action. The 10 winning design/ artwork will be featured on the EU Delegation’s reusable bags that will be given out to the public.
  • The design/ artwork must be original, unpublished and unproduced. Any piece posted online, anywhere other than a personal blog, is considered published, and will not be eligible.
  • The design/ artwork that have been submitted to other contests or has been previously exhibited or sold are not acceptable. We reserve the right to request proof that an entry is the original design/ artwork of the contestant and created solely by the contestant for this contest. Non-compliance to this rule will result in disqualification of the entry.
  • The design/ artwork must be the contestant’s original concept – plagiarism or “sampling” of any kind is not accepted and will result in disqualification of the entry.
  • The design/ artwork cannot contain third party copyright logos or material. Upon submitting a design/ artwork to this contest, the contestant is solely responsible for any infringement of copyrighted materials.
  • Design/ artwork deemed inappropriate will be disqualified.

 

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • A design/ artwork with a maximum up to 8 colours. However, best printing results are achieved with 3 colours only.
  • The design/ artwork must be suitable for reproduction in any material for reusable bag such as calico (unbleached cotton) or non-woven polypropylene.
  • The design/ artwork must be in landscape format fitting on a size: H34cm x W43cm x D19cm with resolution 300 dpi (minimum).
  • File types accepted: .jpg .pdf. Contestant should be prepared to submit the original file in higher resolution in case the design/ artwork is chosen as a winner.
  • The design/ artwork must be submitted in digital media format via email to: art4climateaction@gmail.com
  • Entry must include:
    • a completed “Entry Form” (download below)
    • a copy of a valid ID card
  • Entries that do not adhere to the rules described above will be disqualified.
