The EU Delegation completed a project which consisted in the study of the legislation, procedures and practices related to public procurement in Argentina. Being a federal country, they may vary at either the national, provincial or municipal level. In addition, public companies and other decentralized State entities may also apply specific legislation.
This analysis was carried out with financing from the EU Partnership Instrument, between May 2017 and March 2018, together with the consulting firm Development Solutions who worked in Argentina with the legal firm Estudio O’Farrell. The Embassies of the EU Member States and the bilateral Chambers of Commerce based in the country were also consulted during the whole process.
If your company is interested in any specific aspect of public procurement in Argentina, you can contact the Trade Office of your Embassy, the bilateral chamber of your Member State in Argentina or our Trade and Economy Section (Delegation-Argentina-Trade@eeas.europa.eu).
